Disney’s Elemental: A Celebration of Diversity and Community

Disney’s Elemental is an upcoming animated film that is sure to be a hit with audiences of all ages. The film is set in a city where the residents are all made up of one of four elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. The film follows the story of Ember, a fiery young woman who dreams of becoming a firefighter, and Wade, a go-with-the-flow water elemental who loves to help others.
Elemental is inspired by director Peter Sohn’s childhood in New York City. He grew up in a diverse neighborhood where people from all walks of life lived together. This diversity is reflected in the film’s characters and setting. Ember and Wade are two very different people, but they come together to form a friendship that helps them learn about each other and themselves.
